The seventh scene of Lost follows Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan) as he begins experiencing heroin withdrawal. Charlie asks John Locke (Terry O’Quinn) for his medications back. Locke decays, however, say if Charlie asks twice more, he will offer back the heroin. 

In a cavern, Charlie gets into a showdown with Jack (Matthew Fox) after an apparent slight. Charlie raises his voice which causes the cavern to implode catching Jack inside. Charlie goes to the seashore to find support and Michael (Harold Perrineau), who has loads of development experience, assumes responsibility for the work to safeguard Jack. 

Charlie goes to see Locke again to request his medications back. Once more, Locke says no and shows Charlie a moth attempting to escape a casing and reveals to Charlie that battle is nature’s method of fortifying.
