Youthful Merlin, sent by his mom from their town to begin a superior life, shows up in Camelot where he is to be apprenticed to Gaius, doctor to the oppressive King Uther. Uther, trusting all enchanted insidiousness, has made it deserving of death, so when Gaius finds that Merlin has otherworldly, supernatural abilities, he consents to stay discreet. The mother of an alchemist Uther as of late executed comes to Camelot for retribution in the appearance of a lovely young lady, beguiling the court to lay down with her singing. Just Merlin sees what’s going on and, remaining conscious, saves what is going on without uncovering himself as a warlock. As an award, he is elevated to the valet of Uther’s egotistical child, Arthur.
