When an obedient, though fruitless Christian housewife finds that her sincere spouse has experienced a stroke at a sperm bank where he’s been furtively giving his seed for the beyond 25 years, she leaves her shielded world and gets going on an excursion to track down his oldest natural child – a mullet-headed, obscene ex-con with whom she fosters an odd yet significant relationship.
