Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is an expert magician in current Manhattan attempting to guard the city from his main enemy, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can’t do it single-handedly, so he enrolls Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), an apparently normal person who exhibits stowed away potential, as his hesitant prot�g�. The alchemist gives his reluctant accessory a brief training in the craftsmanship and study of enchantment, and together, these far-fetched accomplices work to stop the powers of haziness. It’ll take all the boldness Dave can summon to endure his preparation, save the city and get the young lady as he turns into The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
